I love having my hair done for events, as I usually wear it down day-to-day. This was a fun side plait for the Vogue/BAFTA dinner in February, courtesy of the Headmasters Blow Dry bar in Fenwicks.

My Turn on Vogue's Today I'm Wearing
Here I am on the Vogue Facebook page, unintentionally dressed like the 4th of July.

Imogen Poots
Imogen Poots looking gorgeous in Miu Miu last night, and below au naturel and in the BBC's Christopher and his Kind earlier this year.
Top photos are from Just Jared, where there are lots more: http://justjared.buzznet.com/2011/07/25/imogen-poots-miu-miu-muta/
Zhandra Rhodes Ankle Boots on the Outnet
Incredible deal on the Outnet today, these Zhandra Rhodes nude leather ankle boots are only £52. I'm not always keen on the zip-embellishment thing, but a nude shoe is so versatile, and so is an ankle boot, in terms of going with everything. Jeans, skirts, shorts, dresses, black trousers... I think these are a winner.

I am a big fan of the lace trend, which is set to continue for A/W. It can be super-girly, innocent and pretty, or darker and more mysterious, evocative of witches and secret gardens, as with the pieces for next season. Here I am in Whistles' Lorna lace dress, which I got for my birthday and wore to a wedding last weekend. I love it because its powdery pink colour is so girly. At first I thought it would be difficult to wear (or unflattering) because it's more boxy and covered-up than typical going-out dresses - I find strapless, short or backless dresses can be more flattering sometimes, weirdly. That's my gorgeous sister in the picture, who probably wouldn't be happy that her eyes are closed. It was the best shot I had of the dress...sorry!

Britt Marling - Mutliple Threat
Slightly obsessed with this girl...was a banker, then wrote, produced and acted in a movie, Landmark Earth. Here she is promoting it in Preen.
Tomas Maier Directs Film for Botega
This is a Bruce Weber shot of model Nine D'Urso for the film to promote Bottega Veneta's first fragrance. Check out the Vogue blog for more - a Weber/Maier collaboration sounds massively exciting.

EXCITED that Gossip Girl is filming again! Sometimes the on-set outfit shots are even better than the episodes. So Liz Hurley is getting with Nate... And there are two new cast members, played by Roxane Mesquida and Hugo Becker (is Hugo new? I have to confess I haven't kept up with the latest series - have a backlog). Can't wait...

Gryphon on the Outnet.com II
And here are some of the star pieces from the Outnet. In my opinion Gryphon's pieces are perfect urban chic - even though they're so sparkly, they have an edge that means they don't look over-dressed.

Emma Stone Colour Blocking
Here is Emma Stone rocking the colour-blocking trend in Giambattista Valli yesterday. I loved Vanity Fair's interview with her in this month's issue. You can't read the interview here because the issue is still on the newsstands, but there is a some great behind-the-shoot vid.

The interview is really worth reading, she comes across really well and fame-savvy. And gorgeous with her white skin on the beach!

Gwyneth for Coach
Gwyneth looking gorgeous in Coach's new campaign. It feels like brands always say their new face is a 'natural choice' but she actually is for Coach.
Vanessa Hudgen's Pixie Crop
Wow! Vanessa Hudgens has cut her hair. Wasn't it around this time last year that Emma Watson did the same? In Vanessa's case it's for a role (in Gimme Shelter), whereas for Emma it was a personal choice. It makes both girls look so different. It's a really brave move. Which do you prefer?
